Gallery of Yoga Poses

Traditional yoga poses (or "asanas") have evolved over 3,000 years! Many have origins in ancient texts and embody forms in nature; animals, mountains, trees, etc.

Here ia a sampling of some of the poses you might experience in our classes. Beginners, please don't feel intimidated, since many of these poses are advanced and are not ones you will do intially. We simply offer these poses (and their commonly know Sanskrit and English names) as a resource and for inspiration!

This is by no means a comprehensive list of poses. Each pose may have many variations and modifications depending on the style of yoga and the teacher. We hope you'll have fun exploring these asanas and others!
